The Qi is a tea shop in New York, New York. It is listed at 27 W 20th St #602, New York, NY 10011, which places it among the local businesses of New York that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and New York follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My dear friend gifted me a “The Qi” experience for my birthday, a perfect treat for us tea lovers. Angela, our host, was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing the captivating six-year journey of “The Qi” leading up to its wider introduction in New York over a year ago. I deeply appreciated the story behind this business, which truly enriched the experience. Upon arrival, Angela warmly greeted us. Guests are required to remove their shoes (so bring socks!) for an authentic, traditional Chinese tea-drinking experience, complete with floor seating. I truly admired that “The Qi” preserved this tradition and felt honored to partake in it. The space itself was impeccably clean and bright, with natural light and a soft color scheme that created a calm and welcoming ambiance. The natural light at our seating area was particularly relaxing and radiant. Before the ceremony began, Angela facilitated an introduction among all the beautiful women present, fostering a lovely sense of intimacy. Angela took her time, sharing not only the history of “The Qi” but also the remarkable health benefits of each tea—from balancing hormones and promoting an inner glow to alleviating stress on difficult days.

I can’t share enough how much I love The Qi floral teas. I’ve been a loyal customer and fan since 2020. During the pandemic, The Qi teas truly brightened my days and made bonding time with my little daughter so meaningful...pairing meditation with tea became our daily morning ritual. Years later, as I began hosting my Meridian Face Yoga and wellness events again, I had the privilege of featuring a Qi Tea Bar. Every event was such a success, thanks in large part to the beauty and presence created through our tea ceremonies. Watching one of my favorite brands expand through frequent events and build a beautiful community that celebrates ritual, wellness, beauty, and delicate moments has been such a joy. The Qi makes everyday life feel more whimsical and filled with magic. Each flower holds its own divine power… and as the saying goes, “food is thy medicine.” What we consume becomes energy, and drinking these flowers truly raises your vibration—you begin to glow from within. If you’re new to The Qi, I promise you’ll fall in love just as deeply as so many of us already have.
